Examples of emergencies:

• Severe, uncontrollable pain for more than 2 hours
• Shortness of breath, respiratory pain
• Chills
• Fever above 38 degrees Celsius for more than 24 hours or one-time escalation above 38.5 degrees Celsius
• Urinary bladder cramps, painful urination, blood in urine
• Diarrhea more than 3 x per day, vomiting more than three times within a 24-hour timespan despite correct dosing/ingestion of reserve medication.
